Baphomet is a god that the Knights Templar are said to have worshipped. In occult and mystical traditions, it is a symbol of balance because it is half-human and half-animal, male and female, good and evil. A base of fractionated coconut oil holds mugwort, yarrow, lemon oil, sandalwood, white camphor, fine fragrance, and other essential oils and herbs.

People started using the name “Baphomet” in the 19th century when they talked about and made guesses about why the Templars were eliminated. Modern scholars agree that the name “Baphomet” was an Old French form of the name “Mohammed.” Some people think that some Templars started to believe in Islamic ideas because they had been in the Outremer for so long. The Inquisitors saw this as heresy and wrote it down.
